Artist Applications for 2016
Applications opened the 1st of March and they have been coming in steadily ever since. Many of the acts who performed at Mountaingrass 2015 have already applied to return, telling us we’re doing something right and have created a positive, welcoming environment that performers enjoy! That must be it, they certainly aren’t coming for the money. Applications close 10pm May 1st and successful applicants will be notified by June 1st.

Instrument maker profile of the month: Larry O’Shea!
Larry O’Shea grew up in the NSW Riverina but now lives in Canberra. What started as a hobby in 2005, making instruments using Australian timbers, is now a fulltime business. It is sometimes hard to find the right sounding instrument hanging on the wall of your favourite music store. With this in mind, and being a player of traditional instruments himself, it gave him the passion to craft unique instruments the likes of which can’t be found anywhere else.
Kind regards,
Your ABOTMA Executive Committee
